The working principle of the yeast dryer is mainly to achieve the drying process of yeast through steam heating and mechanical transmission. Here's how it works in detail:

Preheating treatment: First, the yeast slurry (such as yeast milk) is preheated in the preheating tank so that its temperature rises to about 50°C. The purpose of preheating is to allow the yeast slurry to better absorb heat and accelerate the evaporation of water.

Conveying and coating: The preheated yeast slurry is transported to the dip tank at the bottom of the drying cylinder (drum) through a feeding pump. The drying cylinder rotates around the axis driven by the transmission device, and its outer surface is immersed in the yeast slurry in the dipping tank for about 60-80mm. As the drying cylinder rotates, its outer surface will be evenly coated with a layer of yeast slurry (forming a thin film).

Heating and drying: Steam is introduced into the drying cylinder, and the steam pressure is usually between 0.15-0.3Mpa. The steam transfers heat to the yeast slurry through the wall of the drying cylinder, causing the moisture in it to quickly vaporize. At the same time, the yeast slurry on the outer wall of the drying cylinder is gradually dried under the action of heating to form dry yeast flakes.

Unloading and collection: When the drying cylinder rotates once, the material (ie, dried yeast flakes) completes the drying process. At this time, the scraper device will scrape off the yeast flakes on the outer wall of the drying cylinder and let them fall to the discharge port for collection. The position and angle of the scraper can be adjusted as needed to ensure that the yeast flakes can be completely scraped off and discharged smoothly.

Condensed water and secondary steam treatment: The condensed water in the dryer is sucked out through the siphon, while the secondary steam is recycled through the coil at the bottom of the preheating tank to improve energy efficiency.

Dingli yeast dryer realizes the drying process of yeast through steam heating and mechanical transmission. This equipment has the advantages of easy operation, high drying efficiency and low energy consumption, and is widely used in the field of yeast production.
