Beet pulp is a by-product of sugar production. It comes from the residue after soaking and pressing sugar beet roots and tubers to extract sugar liquid. Due to its strong palatability and high crude fiber content, beet pulp is a good and juicy feed for livestock (especially cattle), and it also has a lactation effect on female animals.
After drying, the moisture content of beet pulp is significantly reduced, usually around 12%, which makes the dried sugar beet pulp easier to store and transport for a long time. The dried beet pulp can be further used for a variety of purposes and can play an important role in many fields such as feed processing, biomass energy, and fertilizer production.
Beet pulp drying process
Before the beet pulp enters the dryer, it usually undergoes preliminary dehydration treatment with a dehydrator (such as a spiral dehydrator) to remove part of the water and reduce the energy consumption and time of subsequent drying. The pretreated beet pulp is transported to the dryer drum through a screw conveyor or other conveying equipment. The hot air generated by the hot air stove is sent into the dryer drum. In the dryer drum, the beet pulp forms a uniform material curtain under the action of unique devices (such as uniform distribution plates, lifting plates, etc.) and is fully in contact with the hot air. : The moisture in the beet pulp quickly evaporates and vaporizes under the action of high-temperature hot air to achieve the purpose of drying. The dried beet pulp is discharged from the discharge port of the dryer drum. At this time, its moisture content can usually be reduced to about 12%, which meets the standards for long-term storage or resource reuse.
Dingli's beet pulp drying equipment can dry beet pulp quickly and efficiently, providing a strong guarantee for subsequent resource reuse.
