RDF fuel, the full name of which is Refuse Derived Fuel, is a fuel that is recovered and processed from municipal solid waste (MSW) through a specific process. The main characteristics of RDF fuel are its high calorific value, low moisture content, and relatively uniform combustion performance. The preparation process of RDF fuel usually includes the following steps:
Collection and classification: First, collect recyclable waste from municipal solid waste and conduct preliminary classification and processing.
Crushing and sorting: The classified waste is sent to the crusher for crushing, and then non-combustible materials such as metals and glass are separated through magnetic separation, air separation, screening and other processes.
Drying: The separated combustible part is sent to the dryer for drying to reduce its moisture content and improve combustion efficiency.
Molding: The dried combustible material is compressed or extruded to form solid fuel rods or particles for easy storage and transportation.
