The vacuum residue of petroleum is cracked and coked at 500-550℃ by a coking unit. Petroleum coke is a product converted from crude oil by distillation to separate light and heavy oils, and then thermal cracking of heavy oils. After high-temperature cracking and calcination, wet quenching and cooling, the moisture content of petroleum coke is 12-15%. Before grinding and powdering, the moisture content must be dried to less than 3%.
Working principle of petroleum coke dryer
The petroleum coke drying system consists of a crusher, a pulverizer, a gas (oil) hot air furnace, a three-layer drum dryer, a cyclone dust collector, a pulse bag dust collector, a conveying equipment, a packaging machine and a power distribution operation control device.
The material flow of petroleum coke is as follows: petroleum coke with a moisture content of 12-15% is crushed to less than 10mm by a crusher and transported into the drum for downstream drying. The petroleum coke is continuously picked up and scattered under the inner layer of the scraper in a spiral manner. After passing through the inner, middle and outer three layers of the drum, the petroleum coke and the hot air are exchanged. The petroleum coke that has achieved the drying effect is quickly discharged from the drum under the action of wind and its own gravity. The petroleum coke is fully dried within the control stroke, thereby achieving the drying effect. The moisture content of the material is reduced to less than 3%, and the drying process is completed and discharged by the screw conveyor. The control system monitors and automatically adjusts the operating parameters to ensure the drying capacity, product quality and safe and stable operation of petroleum coke.
The drying gas process is as follows: natural gas or diesel is burned by the burner to produce high flue gas, which is then adjusted to 180-300℃ by clean air temperature adjustment, and then sucked into the dryer by the exhaust fan to dry the petroleum coke and evaporate the water. The temperature is reduced to 50-80℃ and then discharged from the dryer. The dusty and wet gas is collected by the cyclone dust collector and filtered and purified by the pulse bag dust collector to meet the emission standards.
