Gelatin is a water-soluble protein extracted from animal collagen (such as pig skin, cowhide, fish scales, etc.). It has gelling, thickening and emulsifying properties and is widely used in food (jelly, soft candy), medicine (capsules, hemostatic dressings), cosmetics (cream) and other fields.

It can be dried, but the temperature and time must be strictly controlled to avoid high temperature destroying the collagen structure (causing the gel strength to decrease).

Dingli gelatin dryer consists of a drying cylinder, a frame, a transmission system, a scraper device, a material limiter, a scraping device, a dipping device, and a steam system. In addition, it is equipped with an electrical control cabinet and an exhaust hood.

Workflow:

1. Preheating and feeding:The yeast slurry is first heated to about 50°C in the preheating tank, and then transported to the dipping tank by the feed pump.

‌2. Film formation and heating‌:When the drying cylinder rotates, the surface is continuously attached to the slurry to form a film, and the steam heats the outer wall of the drying cylinder to 60-100℃, prompting the water to evaporate quickly‌.

‌3. Water evaporation and discharge‌:The evaporated water vapor is discharged from the system through an axial flow fan or induced draft fan to avoid secondary adsorption‌.

‌4. Drying and unloading‌:After the drying cylinder rotates one circle, the material is dried, and the scraper peels off and collects the dry material‌.

Dingli drum dryer uses indirect conduction heating (steam heating the drying cylinder) instead of direct hot air contact to avoid hot air damage to the active ingredients of the raw materials; at the same time, it completes drying through a single rotation‌, and compared with the traditional drum dryer with a multi-scraper structure, the energy consumption is reduced by more than 30%.
