Bentonite has good adhesion, adsorption and water absorption properties. In the field of industrial manufacturing, it is often used as a binder. In wastewater treatment and other chemical industries, it serves as an adsorbent, and in daily consumption, it can be used as a desiccant. Compared with natural or moist bentonite, dried bentonite has better physical performance quality, which is a prerequisite for many deep processing processes. Dried bentonite has a reduced volume weight, thereby lowering transportation and storage costs.
Dingli developed bentonite dryer can effectively dry moist bentonite raw materials. The equipment mainly consists of a hot air furnace, belt feeder, drum dryer, belt discharger, exhaust fan, cyclone dust collector, bag dust collector, and operation control system. Its working principle is as follows: After wet materials enter the drying drum, they pass through the following working areas: First is the feeding zone, where slag comes into contact with high-temperature hot air upon entering this area, quickly evaporating moisture. When the material is on the guide plate at a large inclination, it is guided to the next working area. Second is the lifting zone, where slag is lifted by lifting plates to form a material curtain. At this point, the material fully contacts the hot air, and moisture in the slag evaporates and is removed as water vapor, which is extracted by the exhaust fan, thus achieving the drying purpose of the slag; the slag is dried into a loose state in this area with a moisture content below 5%. After the material reaches the required moisture content through heat exchange, it enters the final discharge zone. Third is the discharge zone, where no lifting plates are installed in this area of the drum. The material rolls and slides to the discharge port here, completing the entire drying process.
