The heat exchange method of the rotary drum dryer has a direct impact on the material drying effect. The following is a brief introduction of the common heat exchange methods of the rotary drum dryer.

Conducted heat transfer: Conduction is the process by which heat transfers heat from one end of the object to the other. This method of transfer is performed between conductors. Conduction heat transfer in the drying of materials refers to the indirect transfer of heat to the dried material by means of a certain solid medium, which can also be called indirect drying (heat transfer).

Dielectric heating: This method uses high electric fields or microwaves to generate high energy to dry objects. The drying operation requirements and radiation heat transfer operation requirements are all more stringent.

Radiative heat transfer: Radiation transmits energy in the form of electromagnetic radiation. The higher the temperature, the stronger the radiation. This method transfers heat directly without relying on other media. The wavelength of radiation also changes with temperature. The radiation heat transfer often used in material drying is infrared drying.

Convective heat transfer: Convection is the way in which the gas or the warmer and cooler parts of a liquid are brought into equilibrium by cycling. Drying of materials means that the heat source is transported through the air and wet materials in the form of hot gases, so that the wet materials are vaporized by high temperature moisture and then vaporized, and then discharged outside the cylinder under the action of the hot gas flow.
