Dingli sand dryer is also known as three-layer drum dryer or three-return drum dryer. Its working principle is as follows: Sand is transported to the hopper via a belt conveyor or bucket elevator, and then delivered to the feed end by the hopper's feeder. The inclination of the feed pipe should be greater than the natural angle of repose of the material to ensure that the sand flows smoothly into the dryer. The rotating cylinder of the dryer is slightly inclined from the horizontal plane. The material enters from the higher end, and the heat carrier enters from the lower end, which may result in unfavorable contact between them; sometimes, the material and the heat carrier can also be fed into the cylinder together. As the cylinder rotates, the sand is carried to the lower side under the action of gravity. During the forward movement, the wet raw material is directly or indirectly baked by the heat source, quickly drying the material. The final product is discharged via a belt conveyor or screw conveyor. After the drying process, a cyclone dust collector is needed to capture particulate matter in the airflow. If further reduction of dust load in the exhaust gas is desired, bag filters or wet scrubbers should be used, followed by the discharge of the exhaust gas.
