Bentonite dryers are primarily used for drying bentonite, kaolin, bauxite, iron soil and various other clay slurries. These mineral soils can be dried to any desired degree, as high moisture content hinders processing, storage, or utilization. Wet clays freshly mined, high-moisture concentrates after flotation, and agglomerated wet slags after smelting, when processed through the dryer, can have their moisture content precisely controlled between 5% and 15%, meeting the requirements of various applications. They solve problems such as sticking, breakage, and uneven drying. Following this development trend, Dingli Group has successfully launched the bentonite dryer, which is adaptable to multiple fuels including coal, oil, and gas.
Bentonite dryer adopts downstream drying process, and its working principle is as follows: After wet materials enter the drying drum, they are divided into the following working areas: First is the guide zone, where ore residue enters this area, comes into contact with high-temperature hot air, and quickly evaporates moisture. Under the action of a large lead angle, the material is guided to the next working area along with the movement of the feed plate. The second is the cutting plate zone, where the ore slag is lifted by the cutting plate to form a material curtain. At this time, the material comes into full contact with the hot air, the water in the ore slag evaporates and takes away the moisture, which is sucked away by the exhaust fan, thus achieving the purpose of drying the ore slag. In this area, the mineral slag is dried to a loose state with a moisture content below 5%. After heat exchange, the material reaches the required moisture condition and enters the final discharge zone.
